leucistic house finch |
|
This leucistic house finch appeared today (1 March, 2007) among a substantial flock of other house finches. Oddly, it appears to be the same bird that showed up last spring. Also weird was another abnormal bird...a yellow variant house finch. |

The yellow variant house finch is to the lower left among other normally plumaged birds. Sibley states that this color appears in house finches more commonly in the Southwest. |
