First one seen in the Fargo area this winter, found by Tyson K. in Forest River Nature Park. On the day this picture was taken (the day after he was found), he had moved up in the tree (20+ ft), but there was still a clear hole to snap a photo. |

We saw the bird standing in the water on the west side, south end of Pool 341 near the Newburg Road entrance to the Grassland Trail. After we got the photo, the bird flew south over the water as I watched it with my binoculars.

Indigo Bunting in back yard by bird feeders. Was snapping pictures of sparrows and finches when this stunning blue colored bird flew into the yard. Didn't have time to set camera controls, so the picture is not the best. |
